Advocacy Ignites (2000s)

Squeaky Wheels bikers formed in 2006, birthing the 2011 Bicycle Advisory Committee. That year, Hilton Head snagged Silver Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) status—the League of American Bicyclists' nod for infrastructure and safety (SC's top).
